Who We Are
Foothills Community Resource Watch is a grassroots organization of residents committed to protecting the communities, land, water, and natural resources of the North Carolina Foothills.
We believe informed citizens make stronger communities. Our mission is to demand absolute transparency, mobilize informed participation, and ensure that all industrial development is subject to rigorous public and environmental oversight.
What We Do
- Track public meetings and permit activity
- Research proposed projects and their potential impacts
- Publish educational resources and supporting documentation
- Coordinate community action and volunteer efforts
- Promote responsible, transparent decision-making
Our Principles
- Fact-Based Advocacy. We prioritize verifiable data over political narratives.
- Transparency over secrecy.
- Citizen Sovereignty. Local residents — not out-of-state developers — must be the primary stakeholders in our region’s future.
- Respectful public engagement.
- Long-term stewardship of our communities.
