Gathering Signatures
- Use 24 lb or 28 lb bright white paper.
- Use a sturdy clipboard.
- Use black ink that photocopies clearly.
- Make sure every name, address, and signature is legible.
- Each signer should include a physical address.
- The person collecting signatures should sign and date the bottom of the page.
Signer information is used only to verify local residency for the Town Council record. It will not be sold or shared for unrelated purposes.
How to Explain the Petition
When someone asks what it is about, keep it simple:
A large industrial data center is being proposed without strong, enforceable safety rules. We are asking the Town Council to pause permits and adopt a Public Safety Charter covering construction, water priority, financial responsibility, enforcement, and community protections before development moves forward.
