What to Include

When contacting an elected official or public agency:

  • State that you are a local resident, property owner, or business owner.
  • Identify the specific project, permit, or meeting.
  • Explain your concern in your own words.
  • Ask for a specific action.
  • Request a written response.
  • Keep a copy of your message.

Suggested Message

I am writing as a concerned community member regarding proposed large-scale data center development in our region. Before permits or approvals move forward, I am asking local officials to require enforceable protections for water, energy reliability, construction impacts, public safety, financial responsibility, and long-term decommissioning. Please support a pause in approvals until these protections are publicly reviewed and adopted.
